Ravning Børste- & Maskinfabrik A/S is a well-established, family-owned company with proud traditions and nearly 60 years of experience. The company was founded in 1967 by Jørgen Pedersen, who began producing brushes in his garage at his home in Ravning – hence the name Ravning Børste- & Maskinfabrik A/S.
The company grew rapidly, and the need for larger production facilities led to a relocation to Give. Although the address changed, the company’s name and the values that define it remained unchanged.
After several generational transitions, Ravning Børste- & Maskinfabrik A/S is today a modern, high-tech enterprise, where robotics and automated processes are an integral part of production.
Over the years, the company has evolved from producing individual handmade brushes to manufacturing large series of tens of thousands of brushes – always with a focus on quality, precision, and innovation.

Through close collaboration with our customers, we continuously develop new brush solutions that create value for our clients while keeping environmental considerations in mind.
Sustainability and Circular Economy
Circular economy is at the heart of our mission, and we have for many years worked purposefully to recover as much material as possible. Today, we can deliver brushes that are fully or partially made from recycled plastic.
Environmentally friendly production is one of our core focus areas. Our production is powered entirely by green electricity, and we have implemented measures to minimize waste. Machines are energy-efficient, lighting and buildings have been upgraded, and heat generated from production processes is reused to warm the factory.
We have a comprehensive waste sorting system. In 2012, we established a dedicated waste sorting facility behind the factory with separate containers for different types of waste, including plastic, steel, and cardboard. Wherever possible, we use recyclable materials in our production.
Our goal is clear: to produce high-quality brushes while reducing environmental impact and supporting a sustainable future.
Quality and Process Optimization
At Ravning Børste- & Maskinfabrik A/S, we take product quality very seriously. We employ various methods to ensure that every brush we produce meets our high standards.
Our quality control includes extensive sampling and wear tests. We collaborate with the Danish Technological Institute to test our products according to applicable ISO standards. In addition, we work closely with local contractors who test our brushes in real-life conditions on outdoor sweepers.
We are continuously working on process optimization and implementing 5S principles to ensure efficiency and quality at every stage. Our goal is to achieve ISO 14001 certification by 2026/27, reflecting our commitment to quality and sustainability.
